Better Care Wellness is a therapy-focused behavioral health practice specializing in compassionate, evidence-based counseling for older adults. We partner with Independent Living, Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing, and Memory Care communities to bring high-quality psychotherapy directly to residents where they live.
Our mission is to enhance emotional wellbeing, reduce loneliness, support healthy transitions, and empower seniors and their families through meaningful therapeutic relationships.
Position Overview
We are seeking a warm, skilled, and committed Psychotherapist to provide individual counseling to older adults in senior living communities. This role is ideal for clinicians who value autonomy, connection, and working closely with interdisciplinary teams in supportive environments.
Therapists may choose their schedule, locations, and caseload preferences. Work may include in-person visits, telehealth sessions, or a hybrid model.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual psychotherapy primarily to older adults
- Complete assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in a timely manner
- Collaborate with community nursing leaders, care teams, and families to maintain & build caseload
- Maintain clinical and ethical standards required by your licensing board
- Communicate professionally with facility partners and Better Care Wellness staff
- Utilize EMR for documentation and scheduling
- Participate in staff meetings and case consultations
Qualifications
- Active LCMHC, LCSW, LMFT, or Psychologist (PhD/PsyD) license in North Carolina
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently with professional maturity

Compensation: $6,250.00 - $8,000.00 per month
